John Miller - Director and Chief Technology Officer

John builds value, drives performance, addresses business iniitative and produces improved performance results through the use of technology enabled services. John draws on many years of experience and has a broad background in the delivery of digital technology, especially from the areas of architecture, security and risk, service management, as well as his strong leadership to resolve complex information technology business challenges.

John has developed an extensive range of skills and competencies that has allowed him to hold such roles as Interim Chief Technology Officer in a large Government Department, Professional Services Delivery Manager in a national IT service provider, Service Support Manager for a large multimedia and online company, lead complex projects that have been change management orientated specifically in information technology organisational design, transition and transformation activities. These roles have reported to the executive or senior management.

John has a wide depth industry experience in both private and government sectors that has allowed him to gain a vast depth of experienced in a multitude of business sectors; financial and banking services, health, retail, telecommunications, defence, print & media, logistics and transportation, information technology services, and government agencies. John has also had engagements with Telstra Corporation, Virgin Australia, ANZ, NAB, Department of Defence, Victorian Department of Justice, Victoria Police, Corrections Victoria, Sensis, NCI, ComTech, Unisys Australia, Ansett Airways and National Mutual Life (AXA).

Some of the engagements that John has participated in have included exploring Navy yards, auditing of ICT services, conducting due diligence of outsourcing, designing and delivery of complex business systems, creation of performance measurement for service management, building of ICT capability to become business focused with quality and quantitative results, delivering new research and development technology to customers, plus the creation of a predictable and performance driven ICT professional service delivery division.

In addition to numerous technical competencies, John has post graduate qualifications in business adminstration and international business and is currently completing his Master of Global Law. John is also registered Internal Quality Auditor with accreditations in Inclusive Value Measurement practitioner (Level 1 and PMBOK project management practitioner).

John is a member of the Australian Insitute of Company Directors, Australian Computer Society, International Business Analysis Insitute, Quality Assurance Institute, Project Management Institute and ISACA.

John has ben recognised for his contributions to the Victorian Country Fire Authority, and was awarded the Australian National Emergency Medal for service during the Victorian 2009 Bush Fires.
